Can rats be eaten?

Creativity has stepped into another level, so to speak. Is it really creativity? Wish we could find a better person to explain this in-depth.

We are used to eating beef, mutton, and fish but rats? No not at all, it is shocking that due to low employment in Kenya people are using all their creativity to come up with jobs to help them sustain and provide a daily meal, they have opted to rearrange and sell rats.

Can you imagine this? How is it even possible? If it were to be you, could you rear, buy, sell, or even worse eat a rat?

There is a man in Kenya, advertising to buy rats for only 150 Kenyan shillings. In buying rats, they must be healthy without any injuries even when catching it to qualify for the deal.

People have reacted to this because here in Africa, rats are considered unclean creatures, and destructive, and the only thing that comes into mind when facing a rat is to kill it. We all know that everyone hates rats because they eat illegally stored food in the store, lazily

This man claims that they have done research and determined that rats can be used as meat. Now we have to be careful with any meat that we eat. The meat which they say is sold mostly in the Kenya streets is called " mutura"  basically meat cooked and placed inside the intestine and roasted in the streets in every town in Kenya.

These streets' food has been corrupted, not long ago we heard of a person using cat meat to make them but now rats? It has gone too far now.

But the positive part is that he also claims to make cat food from the rats. That can be agreeable because people love cats and cat food is expensive and cats eat rats.

Many questions continue to run in the minds of Kenya concerning this shocking act, and truly he is keeping a large number of fat rats and feeding them heavily.

My best advice to all Kenyans is to start avoiding street foods, especially the meat, one might eat a rat unknowingly. Be warned
